I'm curious how much Metal matters but it seems like they went from GPU to CPU in Yosemite and then back to the GPU. The review sorta skimmed on Metal but reported that it only worked on a Mac Pro 2013, which lead me to wonder why my 2

I was about to comment the above too. The world isn't static. This also discounts time of year shots, as fall trees vs snow covered hills vs spring blooms make a world of difference too (they do mention that geo-tagging isn't the

I wish there was a way to combine a simple 4-6 digit pin with fingerprint, it'd certainly make an attack on a physical device more cumbersome, especially if the rejection happened after the TouchID so the error was obfuscated on what f

Right now, the biggest protection for cable is the insane license agreements with layers of bureaucracy. Having done contract work for three network TV shows, its interesting as cable providers license from the networks which licenses from

There's a double standard for women in many jobs, even in the most bike friendly city in the US, as a biker I've observed most of my fellow commuters are men. Its easier for me as there's less expectations placed on my appear

Define spying? Most of Apple's services are opt-in as opposed to opt-out. iTunes and Siri are where most the data collection happens. In OS you also have device location services, map data collection but most points are easily controll

Anecdotal: Currently managing two code camp interns and I'm impressed with the amount they cover in a meager 3 months but they're junior level developers for sure. Without some previous experience in software, its hard to believe

This article is base pandering at best. Even as someone such as myself who has quite strong pro gun control views can make the intellectual distinction between a well designed weapon vs the morality of creating one. Viewed from the lens of

Indeed, I still use an aging 2008 Mac Pro and the benefits of internal storage are pretty profound. I have two Time Machine HDDs (An Internal + an External), which counts for two of my six HDDs. I'm debating going towards a service lik

Sounds like this will have a perpetual race to the bottom as inevitably there'll be developers asking high prices and not being paired with the work, and those asking less with more pairings.
