It’s in the quote. ^^ That’s correct, in case they actually ship the source code with the hardware, they’re complying. I very much doubt they do that. As such, option b) comes into play. The GPL FAQ is very clear on the point that "any

I once tried ReFS, back on Windows 8.1 IIRC. Everything was going fine until suddenly, in the middle of the day, Windows decided that the ReFS volume was corrupt. And then you discover there’s virtually no rescue tools. It nearly gave me a

I don't think "millions of end-users" want broken websites because now another developer (Google) gets to decide what's correct (instead of the web dev). A better solution could be to just behave reasonably by default bu

Because we don't understand enough to be sure it wouldn't cause unintended negative side effects. I read that one possibility is less rain. Which is obviously something we don't want. It's already not enough.

They did sort-of roll back the Library stuff that Windows 7+ (or Vista+?) had. They’re still there but they’re no longer in “This PC”. So that’s now okay IMHO. You can quickly access your user folder by going to the address bar and starting

That’s incredibly narrow-minded. You’re not “leaning on hearing”. You’re using all the information you can get. Hearing is vital . How else would you know an ambulance is around the corner, about to run a red light? There are things you si

The problem with employer-provided tools is that they sometimes barely meet the minimum requirements. Sure it gets the job done, but it’s no fun. I’d rather buy and manage my own device, which is then powerful enough for my needs.

Government-provided? Not likely. The state has long since lost (well, more like willingly let slip) control to corporations. You already have those black-box coprocessors, like the Intel Management Engine.
