> lightly-roasted, sour-tasting coffee thing A well made espresso with light-medium roast bean should taste fruity and maybe a little tangy and sweet, though this depends on no end of factors. Coffee Angel around Dublin is a good one. Mo

If a Domino's moped is the worst thing in the cycle lane I think I'm doing well. It's usually taxis and broken glass around here.

If you take the time to learn the language, it's quite readable. I used to know a guy who'd freak out about not being able to read Perl. He couldn't write ("speak") it either, so I'm not sure what he was expect

I own Grado this and Sennheiser that, even a decent pair of JVC the other, but one of my favourite, best sounding and most comfortable sets is my Superlux HD681s. €20. I believe they use the same drivers (and superficial design) as AKG K240

I get that, but Pulseaudio has also ruined my day more times than ALSA has... so as far as my specific requirements go, I'm not sure what exactly it's supposed to achieve. It's just sort of foisted on me if I pick the wrong d

Currently, OSS compatible APIs are what you have on (*nix && !Linux). ALSA is monstrous to configure, but capable. JACK serves a very specific purpose for music production. I'm still not sure what pulseaudio is for, but I don&#

I would look at Modern Perl before Perl Best Practices. While Perl::Critic bases much of its criticism on PBP, quite a bit of it turned out to be not so useful.

I "seed" my game by mashing < ^ > keys for a few seconds, then play normally. I might revert to mashing if I free up some space. edit Though the game also appears to be broken. This is my single player strategy too :)

Have you seen Micro Men? Whimsical sort of film about the early days of Sinclair and Acorn, with some focus given to the race to manufacture the BBC's computer.

Aren't there licensing issues around the VST SDK which means LMMS rarely ships with VST functionality built in? I tried building it with VST support once, not exactly seamless - not sure I ever got it to work.
