JRuby still seems like one of the best rubies around (I use it in all my side projects, and have advocated in the past its use at work). I haven't closely followed the typing advances in ruby: I like what I see in RBS, but I'm not

We're just going now through the process of building a new house. Land is around 10% of the overall budget (and this is a really sought after area in CA). We did a lot of research and we were initially thinking of prefab for our home,

+1 on notmuch. I use it at work and it works great, super easy to configure actions for all the automated emails I get daily and filter the ones that really matter.

I was really intrigued by the first screenshot, I thought "wow, looks promising". The next screenshots for the settings threw that promise out the window. That does not minimal at all. I would like to see a minimalist email client

I was looking for a cheap (< $30) board to start playing with FPGAs and found this one. It's a good improvement over the v2 that had some signal issues[0]. The examples also include a RISC-V core. [0]: https://tinyvision.
