I completely agree with you, but there is a kernel of truth to what they say. I would be apprehensive about using this API for anything serious.

You can clone a specific tag or branch from a git repository without the full history. It looks like LuaJIT's git repository does not support this, although the github mirror does: # git clone -b v2.1.ROLLING --depth 1 git@github.com:

> The only way to get a release version of LuaJIT is to compile it from the git repo. It will be interesting to see how this is packaged in, say, Ubuntu. Will they assign their own version numbers? Dates?

It's available as a package, and a library, in most Linux distributions. It includes the library and the interpreter. edit: I have a few scripts with #!/usr/bin/luajit as the shebang line.

I'm happy to see that the project is still active. LuaJIT is really something special. I'm also glad that they're using rolling releases, as I felt "bad" for using something named LuaJIT 2.1 beta3 in a project since

Right, this is what I was saying in the original comment. You exchange peer to peer but never cash them in.

Do you consider sending them to another person cashing them in? I'm referring to bob's stablecoin -> bob's fiat -> alice's payment, and suggesting that their goal is bob's stablecoin -> alice's stable

Absolutely, especially homeless people. It's hard (impossible?) to have a bank account if you don't have an address.

I think that the crypto end game, in their eyes, is to never have to cash them in.

I imagine that most dehumidifiers are in basements which are not typically climate controlled.

I've had the occasional slime growth which clogs the drip line. I connect a shop-vac to the hose connection and schloop it out. It does disturb me that stuff sometimes grows in there, though.

The dehumidifiers that I destroyed (cut the power cords and mailed them in) a few years ago were replaced with something else. I don't recall the name of them, but they were sent to me as part of the recall at no cost. It would be ki

Do you have problems with reed switches getting stuck? I've had fantastic luck with hall sensors for this purpose, but maybe I was just looking at low quality reed switches.

That was me showing you that setcap had, in fact, been called. That's why it's the output of getcap. I tried it with sudo and it also failed with the same message. I've tried it on an arch-based laptop and a debian-based lap

If you've never seen Dark Souls' maps, I encourage you to take a look at them. They are intricately woven together in ways which is not common in games today.

If you're by area 51 the "man" is a little UFO when you drag it. There's a few of these Easter eggs. Buckingham Palace used to have a little Queen, but that is no longer the case.
