Public school systems tend to pay well for people who majored in early elementary education, music, kinesiology, etc. But this isn't the same demographic that would work at NSA.

This works better than anything else I've found. Pen and paper. Typing isn't as effective for some reason.

That's the spirit! In all seriousness, what else is there to do? Take whatever relief you can get while you can get it.

I feel like we already have tons of examples of people not really working for the money. CEOs of major companies typically have more than enough saved to just live indefinitely off the returns of that money. And yet, they don't.

This. Men make tons of excuses for their lack of success as well, it's just they can't get in on the discrimination complaint wagon. The Lake Wobegon effect and all that. I think a bit of the anti-"workplace diversity" m

I think there's a general desire for a single employee to do all the things because it's easier to put "all the things" in a job description than to set up an environment in which specialists effectively interact. My emp

I'm don't even like the idea of biometrics for user names. I don't want malicious actors to easily correlate distinct accounts (this guy's fingerprint has an account at Facebook, Reddit, Chase Bank, ...).

Some people sink in the sink or swim scenarios. Having kids can lead to no productive activity at all during kid's waking hours instead of 15 minute chunks.

But how do you really adopt this mindset? I can't get over the feeling that it's only a helpful lie (it's better for you if you believe it even if it's not true) which keeps me from really buying in.

If only legal taxi services weren't so uniformly terrible. I don't like Uber's culture, but I still use it whenever Lyft isn't available and the only other option is a taxi whose credit card reader is "broken".

When I was in college, I bought used books and sold them online as soon as the course was over (unless there was good reason to think I'd use the book again). $29/month is a lot to spend unless you have the time and preexisting sk
