Given the usage of e.g. and offering the most charitable interpretation of coldtea’s comment, I guess it wasn’t supposed to be an exhaustive list, just the first (or most pervasive?) thing that came to mind.

There are possibly two misconceptions here. Firstly, there is a possible misconception that gravitational effects can be transformed away under GR, since GR permits non-inertial reference frames as valid frames to view gravitational phenome

Not the GP poster, but the most frustrating thing for me is that GMail labels are implemented as IMAP mailboxes instead of IMAP flags.

I presume GP is talking about the plaintext password, not the hashed one. If plaintext, then every client gets to see the password so they can use it on the second attempt. If hashed, it still leaks more information than is otherwise nece

That’s not really true. C++ makes changes after careful analysis. e.g. the repurposing of the auto keyword (which has been present since the days of K&R C!) I’m not a language lawyer, but one would be able to rattle of a long such list.

C/C++ also. It amuses me that GP used Rust as the example for this family. In fact C has an ABI and doesn’t suffer the problem that sibling commenter mentioned.

Physics is full of such examples. Newton’s theory of gravitation unified the motion of apples falling from a tree, cannonballs thrown into walls, the motion of planet earth around the sun, and even motion of all the known planetary bodies.
