I think the elements of the base need to be enumerable (proof needed but it feels natural), and transcendental numbers are not enumerable (proof also needed).

Most of the Amazon delivery trucks I see are big trucks with Ryder on the side or electric cargo bikes with Prime on the side. This is in Manhattan mostly below 60th St. though, that might be the difference?

I use rsync.net in zfs send/receive mode, I push only encrypted snapshots and incrementals, the key has never left my local device (well I have a paper copy in a remote place).

I was under the vague impression that there is a single moment when the gravitational force in the core of the proto solar system outweighs (ha!) the electromagnetic repulsion of deuterium/tritium nuclei and fusion is achieved. The res

Because of aligned reads any pointer size between 32-bit and 64-bit would end up using 64-bits anyway.

Indeed. Fermions are usually taught in particle physics, especially when distinguishing Weyl/Majorana/Dirac fermions.

That’s all totally fair. I actually never care about the vote count but have been on this site long enough to recognise the names worth paying attention to. Also the higher contrast items are the click/tap targets.

The HN UI could do with some improvements, especially on mobile devices. The low contrast and small tap areas for common operations make it less than ideal, as well as the lack of dark mode. I wrote my take on an ideal UI (purely clientside
