The link you posted is about not giving the user a choice. It's an optional pre alert screen that only leads to the system request. Apps are choosing to allow users to say no/cancel on that screen that then lets them ask again an

The first link ignores payroll taxes because it doesn't paint the same picture. The second link seems to show the US tax rates are significantly lower for the upper echelon compared to other first world countries.

Private schools do not play by the same rules. Special education and transportation are a significant cost of public schools that private schools can just ignore.

OP seems to be saying if the non state controlled schools follow the rules as state schools then that is fine, but they currently don't. Not many private schools provide special education services for one.

I don’t disagree, but I also don’t trust that retailers will pass on the savings. Many higher priced items sell based on MSRP anyway.

Almost no retailers offer a discount for using cash or a debit card. You're paying the retailer either way. Whether they pay a transaction fee or pocket it isn't much of a difference to you.

They used to only accept Amex and had a branded card. It worked fine for them that way too.

I've always read the term open source as the source is available for me to read so I know what I'm running. Beyond that if I'm an adventurous sort then I could try and compile it to run for my personal usage. Windows 95 was

The illegal act is using X. The means to enact that is to enforce it at the ISP level. A user finding way to continue to use X is on the user. You may not agree with X being banned, but punishing the users is what should happen when they

That's fair. From a personal perspective it was a good idea. He regularly had sites get compromised though, so for his customers it wasn't always a good product. He generally kept his customers happy though.
