That reminds me of "eBayISAPI.dll" still being in eBay URLs, but in that case I think it's fake and no longer actually hooked into some crusty old Microsoft stack.

Automatically repeating todos in Things.app, that have a link to the manufacturer's web page where they list BIOS/Firmware updates. The todos are set to repeat 2 months after they were last completed.

"Implementation Detail" is a fundamental concept in software engineering. If we don't formalise something as fundamental as that in tooling, we're pretty much giving up on tooling.

MacOS has a much stronger distinction between applications and windows than MS-Windows does. The Cmd-Tab switcher deals with apps, not windows. Similarly, Hide (Cmd-H) and Hide Others (Opt-Cmd-H) operate on app(s), while Minimize (Cmd-M) op

Somewhat related... if you're using a Mac and haven't taken the time to understand the difference between Hide (Cmd-H) and Minimize (Cmd-M) then you're missing out.

I just went to the Rust homepage and clicked until I found an example of a function. It's being presented in Monaco where the dash is noticeably higher than the centre of the angle bracket.

The thing about adopting the ASCII Art pseudo arrow is that it bakes in an assumption that the dash character lines up vertically with the point on the angle bracket character. This simply isn't the case in plenty of fonts. So it often
