I don't blame anyone if they don't want to support Edge/IE. Microsoft's browsers are horrible to develop for. Personally I'd be much happier if more of my users would switch to Chrome.

They make dimmer switches that can be controlled via Zwave/Zigbee as well. If you replace your wall switches with these instead of using bulbs that do the same thing, your automations will have no more problems of this sort.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. This whole concept is a tin-foil pipe dream. It will never see mainstream adoption because data can be really profitable. What business would choose to eliminate a revenue stream for no reason like this?

They'd find some way to ruin it. MS doesn't exactly have a good history with regards to the PC gaming market.

I completely agree that most of them are extreme memory hogs. I was just pointing out that the previous commenter's definition of a desktop application made almost no sense to me.
