The ghost towns in China should be the canary in the coal mine. It's interesting to see how an authoritarian government can force its economy to move along. Eventually it has to fail... right?

Probably going to need a license to pirate soon. That way they can ensure that all illegally downloaded content is culturally appropriate. I am only half joking with this comment, I could see it happening

I don't think prices are a good comparison. You will have much higher prices in places where wealth exist. There is much more wealth in the US than Mongolia or Russia. Maybe a percentage of total income would be the best comparison.

I don't want any of those features and bill is 75% less. I am relatively frugal and prefer to invest/save vs spend. I am very happy not spending $100/month for a cell phone

I pay ~$25/month for my phone. My internet is slower because I don't care about watching Netflix or youtube on my phone, but I could pay more if I wanted. As an American, I don't really care what Europe has because it in no w

I assume everything on Amazon is a counterfeit and plan accordingly. Have you heard anything about Walmart? They have free two day shipping and I haven't heard any counterfeit horror stories (yet)

I live a couple hundred feet above sea level in the middle of the United States in a place where winter sucks. It is a struggle to actively care about climate change despite knowing that I should.

If I were a company I would target America first and Asia second. Due to increasing regulations, political uncertainty and lack of growth I'd shift the EU to third (it used to be an obvious second to me).
