Low interest rates and high inflation will pump those numbers up even more. I don't see a way to stop the increase without the debt imploding on itself which the government would never let happen (I'm personally in favor)

I just bought a few rental properties hoping this comes true. Lock in 2% mortgage for 30 years while inflation ramps up to 7% is free money. Open up the border and I might not have to work any more

Reminds me of the offshoring craze about a decade ago. Everyone was worried that there would be few software jobs left in America. Now it seems every company is trying to re-onshore development and desperately searching for people and drivi

I wouldn't call making dishwashers tech. I'm not disparaging, I love how quiet my Bosch is, but I would classify it as an industrial company not a technology company

The EU's service sector will continue its downward spiral as these regulations increase. They are building an ever widening mote for US Tech giants and calling it a win for the people

Does this also apply to German companies (I'm ignorant on this matter)? If not, all this regulation does is build a massive moat around US Tech companies

That's the point, every year you are aware of how much the government is taking from you. If citizens weren't aware of exactly how much taxes they paid they would be more inclined to want more tax increases

I've heard others mention that modern literature is too curated. I am also confused when I hear it. We are living in the age of digital books, digital reviews, and self publishing. There is more choice than ever and it's easier to

How do you depend so much on push notifications? If you are receiving so many you may want to adjust your settings. It is not good for your mental health nor your productivity to be constantly distracted by notifications on a phone

Why do you consider it unwise to advertise ownership of an AR-15? Why would anyone care? Where I live the response would be "cool, can I shoot it next range trip"

Agreed this is an overly simplified model. Another thing to keep in mind would be population dynamics. Are people moving out of the area the home is in (Chicago) or are people moving in (Nashville).

If inflation hits 4% and your mortgage is 3.5% you would be making 0.5% a year off the mortgage interest + the tax deduction you get from it. If inflation picks up to 70s levels, current homeowners will have a great time assuming they do no

As a home owner, I'm really hoping that the government gets involved in helping with first time buyer down payments. Each $1,000 of government assistance will be a ~$15,000 higher sale price. Would also benefit those renting out units

Addressing the pricing con: I have the Remarkable 1 and it addresses most of the pros but not quite as fancy as the 2. It still costs a lot but is 300 vs 500. Seems like prices have gone up since I bought it for ~200.
