Indeed. That said, what will they diversify to? I wonder if it will be solar energy generation due to natural abundance. Barring that, it will have to be something like high tech, which itself will be dependent on importing talented labour.

Indeed, one of the reasons I love living in Europe! It's wonderful to be able to walk around a city. Perhaps lack of planning is what initially enabled artery-like evolution of streets?

I'd argue that association is what drives memory. I can review something a million times and still forget it. It's when I sit down, focus, and "feel" the meaning of the thing that I remember it thereafter.
