In the USA you're worth at least 100k. However, like many others who conduct interviews, I'm not the one who signs the paycheck :)

The source code in question is over 40 years old and most likely doesn't exist anymore in its original form. What do we do then? The burden of proof for infringement is on original authors, and they haven't done so for 40 years. I

Anyone who believes in a free and open society should do away with all copyrights and patents. Anyone who thinks that licensing will have an effect on what is happening in reality is severely misguided.

If you wrote an algorithm in the early 80s that did x+y+z And then I saw your source code and in the late 80s I changed the variable names, function name, and logic to be x+y+z+0.1 And then I told my friend John that there's a super co

They did not copy the implementation, they copied the general idea of what the algorithm should do. Do not go down this line of reasoning, otherwise we will be copyrighting the concept of for loops.

My ideas based on what you've said now are simply don't play ranked matches online, just develop your skills against humans and engines. For real ranked matches, participants must have 360 webcams and so on showing they aren'

Probably most of the improvements in 14 are for arriving at a more accurate answer quickly for play against other machines When you play stockfish at a human level, it is purposely choosing an answer it knows is worse ^.^

A CV should not be necessary Edit: My apologies everyone. I actually read this as "cover letter" instead of CV. I agree a resume (as noted below) should be required, but CV (academic style) is probably a US term not applicable her
