Given how I am much more impressed by Amperes product Vs Amazon's Graviton those insights don't seem to be that valuable.

During the last ARM HPC User Group conf i was able to get my hands a 160 core instance, i was shocked, holy moly do they beat Xeon when it comes to SAT solving in my test with HordeSAT.

I think AI is actuator constrained compared to a spider which might be the larger problem.

Which is what SafeInteger does internally. Checked is kinda obscure but i added a doc string to it which was merged with the main branch today.

You are correct that “automatic big num conversion” works much against optimization. Int{8,16,32,64,128} in Julia also overflow silently. If you want other behaviour you can write your own custom behavior and "overload" +,* for yo

Just doing random sampling on a small group to estimate the error ratio should also work. Also as long as everyone who has symptoms can get a test the error ratio is bounded by the ratio of people with symptoms making it irrelevant for this

Better is the worst enemy of good. Please suggest a different metric then. One that can be measured easily and will do about as well as the biased infected numbers or one which will do better than the biased infected numbers at a similar ef

The reason why people are obsessed with case numbers and not deaths is that case numbers control the case numbers in the insufficiently immunized which predicts death toll 3 weeks ahead of time. Why would you want to control a system with 2

Ghost robotics design is a joke. You lose a really a lot of fire power by not being able to turn turn the gun.

Yeah but non state actors don't. Just imagine dropping of robots with a gun from a car or send them via package. A 360 camera and a gun is a scary combination and as long as you use them in a suicide manner it doesn't even need to

I've not seen anything convincing that slide can approximate convolutional layers like at all without almost doing a full convolution at which point it is not competitive. Can you link me to paper about recent (2021?) work or improveme

You know about surrogate models being run in simulations (physics informed neural network and all that stuff) the US is investing a lot in this. Maybe then it makes sense why bfloat16 exist in SPR.

This is a good question and the answer depends on what you mean by formula. One could probably show that there exists no formula using a finite number of +,*,/,^. However one might be able to define functions which together with a fini
