Silly. If you did fully shutdown, you're now much more vulnerable to an evil maid attack, which that same advisory could employ. And now you haven't been tipped off there was an attack to begin with.

That's a little paranoid to think that a network service provider is going to outright block media sources they don't like.

A home can be searched and caches found. A foreign account is difficult to open. It's not hard to see why bitcoin has its appeal, no?

Torture may be used to find out the user has bitcoin, but you can never be sure you got it all. If they give you access to n wallets, how do you know they don't have n+1? A foreign currency account is not as easy to setup as a brain wa

Torture only works if you are sure of the existence of such a thing. It's easy to order the police to go from home to home, confiscating valuables. It's a lot harder to know if someone has bitcoin, and if so how much they have. Ev

The volume today was over $4 billion. Let's say you'd need 5% of that to move the market enough for people to take notice. (Given the large volatility, this actually seems conservative) Are you suggesting that there are people who

Bitcoin adjusts difficulty based on how many people mine it. So cheap power doesn't reduce the cost, since it will just mean even more mining.

You've got a lot of hubris saying that. You don't think this hasn't been repeated before? The truth is that a currency gains more utility when people value it more which in turn makes it more valuable. Until you see that you

You could also just move the funds, from address a to address b, then buy something from some merchant, say monero from shapeshift, and claim some dastardly fellow hacked into your account and stole the funds from address a. Now do you have

I've had the opposite experience. Casinos are a fun way to spend a little cash and waste an hour or two. I especially like pachinko games because of the novelty. I guess this means that no one has the exact same experience, and this my

There are some people, you know, that don't have the physical ability to do much else to get the same amount of entertainment in their lives. Casinos are a boon to seniors, giving them a chance to go somewhere where they can actually e

Anyone heavily invested in making memes on the internet that they can't stand having a watermark should be able to afford a dollar. If not, maybe a deep intersection into what one does during the day would be warranted.
