I tell myself that this is exactly why its so important to be very selective in choosing what you work on. Its harder to give up if you really believe in what you are doing.

New software license sales and renewals are both down year-over-year as a percentage of overall sales. It might just be a blip, but I read it as a weakness in their core business. I think the size of the enterprise segment is shrinking - as

I find it ridiculous that companies operating at this level waste their time with things like this when they clearly have bigger issues on their hands. No wonder Oracle is struggling if this is where they are focused.

B&N doesn't have the operational chops that Amazon does. Its going to take more than Brick & Mortar to make a dent in the tablet market. B&N will fight with Dell for table scraps while Amazon and Apple each capture sizeable, mat

I hate noreply as well, at least as it relates to paying customers. At Hover, we switched to a policy of using help@hover.com for the default reply-to on all mailers and it works quite well. Zendesk and our mail system do a great job of fil

Don't bother with a press release. Better to just use social channels and the web to do your own PR.

Twitter has some serious UX issues to overcome. If this sacking is a step towards finally dealing with those issues, then Twitter Inc. will only be stronger. If its just some part of a power play or structural re-alignment, then I fear that

again, its the registries that do this - registrars are mainly a sales channel, we don't set the rules.

I think you (wrongly) mean to point the finger at the registries. Registrars don't create the string, they just offer it for sale. The registry creates and manages the string (.xxx, .biz, etc.)

I'm not sure I agree with the author's view of product management or of how singular control of the product strategy and execution is useful. Good product managers don't insist on having things done their way, they insist on understanding w

Spend some time on the business model. How many domains are you going to need to sell to cover the costs of your accreditation? Hire another programmer? Turn a profit? Domains is a tough business, be smart about it.
