While this is true, there's also a good side to the bigger tech companies leaving, even if it is a lot of them: less wage competition. If I'm a SV startup I already have problems with office rent, taxes, cost of living, etc. It&#x

Having it and recovering from it still occasionally leaves your body altered/damaged in a way we're not sure how to predict/treat. As far as we can tell, the vaccine does not cause the same amount of damage that actually suff

People struggle with the idea of any luxury brand that also makes mid-range or mass-market products in addition to their unaffordable luxury items. Anecdote: I drive a newer BMW 328i. I live in the northern US where it snows, and it's

You're spot on. I tried React and Vue and it just adds so much complexity for a solo dev. Right now I'm just using tiny bits of JS here and there, but I'm really hungry for something like LiveView that would let me do interac

Yeah I see the statement a lot on international forums like HN and Reddit of "SMS is still a thing? No one uses it!" But it's highly cultural. I only use WhatApp for two friends in Europe. Most of my friends here in the US us

Facebook really did and does fill a need that's been open for a very long time: a central communications/notification platform. It's been tried time and time again, with both open standards and closed standards, but Facebook

People spend a small amount of money on the hardware of a car, then spend a lot of money on the luxurious comfort and prestige upgrades. Boston Dynamics makes utility robots that are cool from an engineering standpoint but not super useful

That's a big if , one that hinges on way too many things to be able to successfully argue in court about: 1) VR ever becoming a huge player. It might. It might not. Right now there's no real evidence that VR will actually becom
