yeah, it's a bad habit of mine that the people who run the companies we have invested in call me on all the time. i don't mean that we own the companies. but it certainly expresses the ownership we feel of the opportunities they are chasing

well i sort of did. we turned $150mm into $750mm from 1996 to 2000. vc's generally get paid 20% of their profits so take 20% of $600mm and then split that with Jerry and a few others and that's where the money came from. i've made more sinc

Paul, I think you are wrong about NYC. It's not about money first and foremost. It's about commerce and the neverending chase of what's next whether it be art, music, media, money, shopping, food, nightlife, etc, etc. It's the greatest city

there is way more than a concentrated startup community in NYC, it's the third most active venture capital market in the world and will soon pass boston and be second only to Silicon Valley
