I agree, if ES is scaled well for your usage it just keeps going. However, a big time sink for me has been reindexing, lost data due to bad mapping, and version incompatibilities.

From what I gather, they're primarily interested in chats and photos. So they can browse those through pretty quickly on a phone, and then they can just image your laptop and store it forever.

Google is still doing this on stuff like Hangouts or Meet, where it tells you it won't work in Safari. But changing the user agent has worked for me.
