Is this yet another middle man to suck fees out of the system? I have not kept up with Square but despise the though of yet another fee leech that is compiling a list of my purchases to sell to annoying advertising companies. /shoutAtCloud

I'd update my resume and start looking for a new job. I've been in this situation twice in my career and neither ended well even with me busting my arse making real improvements. You have to be the super-hero every day...

2009 17" Macbook Pro would be the winner for me if not for the keyboard. Second favorite is a 17" Dell XPS M1730. Great screen, decent keyboard but... Heavy as hell.

I would love to see you succeed with this as the area I live in is really lousy for live music if you're not constantly tuned in to the buzz. I am a musician and have a fair number of musician friends who tell me about shows happening local

Promoted anything would cause me to avoid your service. It is very rare, for example, a promoted Youtube video to be relevant for my interests. Figure out a way to efficiently crowd-source your content and place unobtrusive ads on the page

Search for Ratko Tomic bits on google. He was doing these optimizations in the late 80s and early 90s. How I miss the RIME/RelayNet C language forums...

No breaks due. They back pedaled after making a stupid or uninformed decision - a decision they would not have changed if their customers hadn't hammered them. A Christoforology filled with big crocodile tears.

RIM has an office in South Florida and I believe they came here to pick up the unhappy Motorola Cell Division employees. Anyway, they hired a bunch of people away from Motorola that were just poor quality developers. I don't think this bode

Hey, it looks like the garbage collector finally got around to doing its job... :) OK, it's a stretch, but... (If Java had true garbage collection, most programs would delete themselves upon execution. -- Robert Sewell)

So, since I hate giving Microsoft money, they won't get any for their app store with this decision. Same with Amazon and their kindle/ebooks. If you can delete my stuff I don't buy from you.

So lemme get this straight: Morgan Stanley is avoiding updating their browser by... Updating their browser? A kluge on top of a kluge is still a kluge. Will the penny pinchers ever learn this?

It strikes me funny how AMD couldn't compete in a market with Intel and maybe Via, but somehow they think they can compete in a market with 3+ strong competitors. This feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
