I took part in this trial, at Holborn Station. The escalators are very long, and few people walk. However, despite the signage, markings and announcements, when I stood on the left I still got the occasional tirade of abuse from someone att

It's already got a primitive version of regenerative braking! The deep-line tubes—those that have the heating problem—are designed so that the stations are at peaks in the line. As the train is approaching the platform the uphill slope

I think you're right. For example in EU supermarkets you will typically find, separately: white onions, brown onions, sweet onions etc. In the UK: onions. Maybe sometimes also 'large onions'. Same goes for most other produce.

UK supermarkets are crap, and have got noticeably crapper in recent years. At even large mid-tier supermarkets you will find a paltry range of fruit and veg, and a maeger selection of almost entirely prepackaged meat and fish. I have notice

In a cartesian plane yes. However for geospatial it's Lat/Long everywhere except in GeoJSON it seems.
224.
by fredley 4y ago
GeoJSON decision to use Long, Lat instead of Lat, Long partly to blame here. It's not what any new user expects. I suspect there are plenty of other bugs lurking out there due to people making the same mistake.

As I someone who has studied art a little, try it! Appreciation for work of this kind comes quickly when you try and emulate it.

UK citizen here. We implemented direct democracy by having a largely ill informed and sometimes deliberately misled population vote on the highly technical and complicated matter of EU membership. Ask us how it's going.

All publicity is good publicity, but especially so in the art world.

The busses will have a safety driver on board, but apparently they expect they will not need to take control at all normally. It will be interesting to see (if possible) how much this holds up in reality.

You can freeze mice solid and warm them up in a microwave and they'll come back to life. Not everything that works in a mouse model works in humans.

Taken alone this might be unfortunate, but given Apple's long-standing trend of upselling storage at hugely inflated prices it's pretty damning.
