The space flight simulation/orbital mechanics in KSP is very good/realistic, miles better than anything else out there anyway.

I cannot understand how anyone puts up with measuring stuff by volume (other than liquids). 1 cup of flour is a hugely variable amount depending on how compressed it is. Don't even get me started on heaped cups. For baking in particula

This looks great! Really impressive results! Have you considered attaching the light strip to a steady-cam type rig to minimise the amount of wobble?

The spaces where you're actually supposed to work are so hostile to productive work anyway - loud, public, and if you're not by a window or at least only one tier in from one, dark.

If you keep your phone in a bag that may not be possible.

It's half the price of phones with similar spec, and there are reasons for that. It also has a plastic shell. I have mine wrapped up in a case/screen protector.

This is glorious. It's a less good 'user experience' than browsing reddit itself, but it's also better in every way.

My question: who was looking, and why? Is someone really checking every image on NY Post/other media sites for steganographically embedded data, or were they acting on a tip off? This whole thing looks extremely odd.

An ISP won't really cut it these days, since more and more internet use, particularly in developing countries, is mobile. You need to start a small independent mobile carrier .

A big factor in human happiness is how you perceive yourself amongst your peers. Does your neighbour/friend have a bigger McMansion than you? Do they travel to more exotic places more frequently than you? Do they drive a nicer car? Thi

In my head, it went like this: Mgmt: Can we do this? Eng: Yes, but... Mgmt: [Tunes out after Yes] Do it Saying 'No' instead of 'Yes, but' is hard but a really valuable ability.

Why not yet? Cost/effort for the so far relatively short amount of time it would be used. However that amount of time is increasing it seems.

Ceiling fans are ridiculously effective. I'd seriously consider installing one in the bedroom after the past few years of heatwaves.

In our office we use a shared takeaway system called Seamless. We each submit our order ahead of a cutoff time, pay, then when it arrives each container is individually named so you know what belongs to each person. Something like this coul

In the UK you'll find a (relatively!) large number of countertenors, at least within the anglican church music tradition (I said relatively ). Until quite recently all church choirs would have been solely male, with boy trebles and

Given how much potential there is to make a vastly superior Nest-like thermostat, why hasn't anyone done it?

When I have a few days alone at home for whatever reason I'll usually leave the radio (BBC Radio 4) on in the background, it definitely makes a difference.

Nest thermostats are also very stupid. The 'smart' mode tries to build a schedule of activity based on how much you walk past the specific spot on the wall where your thermostat is, and predict when to heat the house based on that

$30 is a lot, that's the same amount as Factorio . Of course, something is worth what people will pay for it, but this seems a very small thing to sell at that price point.
