Everytime I get a glimpse deep into the programming world, I get more scared. I thought this was good ole computer science/programming, built on logic and math not politics. Anyway, it's hard to judge a guy's character from what he writes.

I feel that the error the compiler will find will more than make up for the very few seconds it would take to compile a game like Nick vs. Bus. I also don't think the single corporation and plugin points makes a direct difference to game de

If you really think one platform is so superior to another, you're missing the point entirely.

Late reply, but that's how I feel somewhat. I feel like CSS isn't intuitive at all for an application layout. I've done layouts in other markup languages and had a blast, but when I hit HTML and CSS, I just feel generally confused. Again, I

It's good they got a judge who knows a little about programming :D As far as the case in general, I think it's quite interesting, but I personally feel Oracle has somewhat of a case, but to what extent, I don't know.

I'd support the jester more than any of those other groups. I'd rather see a guy take down jihadist websites, the westboro website, etc. than whatever the random crap anon and such attacks. You could make the argument that Anon, Lulz, The J

It just seems like there could be a simpler system to me. (Simpler in terms of properties and such, as opposed to syntax. Also, variables and stuff in CSS would be nice obviously). But I agree, inconsistency is always frustrating.

Yup, I suck at CSS too. I still think there's something fundamentally wrong with it, but that's probably more a marker on my own ignorance than anything. Anyway, I do have fun playing around with the FF style tools. It is quite cool and inf

My thoughts: "Hey! This looks pretty neat. Oh it's $150 on sale, forget this. Oh it's only for macs, glad I never bought this piece of garbage." That being said, it could be great, I have no idea.

I'd like to see some of those languages too. And LightTable is free, right, so how did it lower prices exactly? More specifically, I'd love to see something with good code completion and documentation built in for Ruby, as it drives me up t

Eh, I think Yahoo Mail was upgraded a year or so ago. I prefer it to GMail.

I always have though GMail is subpar at best when it comes to interface. I feel no desire to justify this opinion, just my personal feelings.

It's a good point. Even a great programmer can have trouble when moving in to a new language and work flow, and needs to ask for help. Or, some people new to programming could be extremely good in the future, but just need a little help to

I normally come here for the articles, not the discussion, but it doesn't seem too bad here. However, tech forums can often become a place of arrogance, pride, and incivility, and it never hurts to look at yourself in the mirror now and the

I just finished this tutorial yesterday actually. I personally don't care so much about the web design aspect as much as the RoR logic and techniques. Are there any major things in the new version in that department that I should be aware o
