A "properly tuned instrument" still requires a base frequency (usually defined for A4). Whether to use 440Hz or another slightly different frequency is a fun debate to get into.

May I answer with a follow-up question: how do you test the efficiency of a particular prompt? Do you have a standard suite of conversation topics/messages that you A/B test against prompts/models?

The React example given at the end misses out on one issue where even linters can't help: fetching data and accessing its contents. Setting aside error handling (fetch call fails), the response data could have a different schema than w

Great work! I've been following Benedicte Raae [1] for a while, who built an end-to-end encrypted period tracking web app [2]. Also agree with other voices here: open-source (or at least open distribution via f-droid) would help buildi

This is really cool. I've been doing a lot of EE and PCB design back in the day with Eagle, nice to see this kind of tech landing in the browser. Great job!

IMHO, the value of IMDb is in its network graph. I spent countless hours navigating films, directors, actors and the like to discover hidden gems. Open-source may have a similar graph (projects, contributors, sponsors), and could make for a

I've been testing Coolify [1] for this, so far the experience has been smooth as a self-hostable Vercel/Netlify/PaaS replacement. Now onto finding/learning host management tools (Ansible, NixOS, Terraform and the like).

I've been using a visual approach to Git branch management for years, using Ungit [1] through a VSCode extension. VSCode's built-in commit-crafting UI (diffing, staging, stashing, committing) is good enough but branch management (

A radical switch to EVs of the general population, required for net-zero emissions, would be orders of magnitude more taxing on the grid than AI. That being said, the issue with AI is its convenience: countless times I've seen coworker
