This is something that a small LLM handles quite well. I’m using one to normalize MTA delay reports so I can aggregate stuff in a sane way.

It'd be interesting if they added this to the standard questionnaire - does your dwelling have sprinklers? ... oh and how many watt-hours do you have in battery storage?

I see this is written in Perl, is that the case with most Debian tooling?

It’s the appropriate language for a news organization. Making the language more charged doesn’t change the facts that they are presenting and it’s what I want as a subscriber.

I'd be interested to see your rates for margin if you do decide to offer margin. I don't use the margin to get more market exposure. I treat it as a lower APR credit card with a sizable credit limit. Interactive Brokers will charg

How does this compare to the log structured virtual disk concept from this paper? It sounds quite similar at a glance. https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3492321.3524271

Related to culture, I moved to Austin in 2012 and that was the first time I saw a restaurant advertising that their water had no fluoride.

Amazing setup, thanks for the write-up! My dream house if I was rich would have a LAN party room like this (plus a mini fridge stocked with Bawls Guarana). Stretch goal would be a movie theater like Brandon Sanderson has in his lair.

That could be an article title from either the Onion or the WSJ Opinion section.

I won't buy a device with cameras slapped all over it either. But anyone fearmongering over this has not thought through what it would take to do this at scale and really consider how this is worthwhile over existing tracking methods.

It’s exactly like that. You get a mirrored display in portrait mode. It’ll rotate if you disable orientation lock and hold it in landscape.

I got the prescription inserts for the xreal air 2 pro. They were a little more expensive than I would’ve liked ($150 plus $40 because I need -8 SPH) but I have somewhat severe myopia.

When traveling, the Xreal Air 2 glasses are fantastic for watching video or playing games on your switch or steam deck. It’s light and comfortable, the FOV is good enough IMO, and the image quality is pretty solid (plus it’s using OLED). Th

Yeah I would be tempted to take that offer and I like my job a lot. But I wouldn’t mind a nice long paid break either.

Yeah BYU's rules are pretty strict. I don't think I would run an exit node using property from the same university that requires a waiver just to have a beard: https://honorcode.byu.edu/beard-waivers

Somewhat off-topic: I saw the funding note at the bottom - it’s pretty cool that the German government is giving some funding to projects like this. I wonder how much the US is doing in that regard, like if there’s a list of projects that t

I would never dream of doing that to tourists that came to New York. A jerk move by these protesters, but a brilliant move by the politicians that have somehow dodged this blame.
