This should not harm benchmarks unless they mark their threads as background. As for a particular strategy I presume Apple could, for example, use 6 high-performance cores instead of 4+4 hybrid. But then thermal management will be an issue.

In my somewhat brief experience with Go I realized that one better avoid channels even for supposedly idiomatic cases. For example, try to implement a priority queue with channels. Or why it is not possible to use the select statement again

And TypeScript and Flow these days allow to properly type the wast majority of JavaScript “dynamic typing” patterns making reflection usage in Go and Java to look ridiculous for a supposedly statically typed languages.

What makes me sad about Go is that the verboseness comes not from the language but from its formater. If the formater allowed to write in one line if err != nil { return err }, it would drop the number of code lines by the third.

The extra dimension does not explain the movement or change. The world line corresponding to the equation is static. It does not show at all why when one looks at a particle, one perceive the movement and change in the position, and not, fo

That equation describes a curve in 2 dimensional space with no differences between points with each point having particular time and space coordinates. And you can even resolve it to express time as a function of space. But we do not interp

The problem is that there is no change or any notion of time flow in physical models. They describe a static 4-D universe. So there is no particle but there is a one-dimensional world line in the equations with no difference between points.

This is a circular argument since motion is a change in position. So a change is a motion and a motion is a change. This implicitly refers to personal experience of perception of time flow, but nobody has figured out how to describe it with

It is not only Rosetta. M1 has special hardware to allow for faster emulation like supports for Intel cache coherency protocol allowing to emulate multithreaded code with much less efforts.

M1 and Rosetta shows that it is possible to emulate x86 and still run that faster than Intel for some workloads. Nothing prevents Samsung and Microsoft from doing that with Windows on Arm. And they do not need to match Apple efficiency, stu
