Police have much more legal power to stop, identify, search and harass you if you are in a car. For instance, your 4th amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure is nullified by forced identification laws and implied consent. A

As a person who made the switch after realizing how intelligent these animals are, I can honestly say that it's worth it if you do decide to. However, I also understand why you would continue to eat meat. It was probably one of the har

Poor people don't use public transit because it has been dismantled to the point it's unusable. In fact, it has been demolished explicitly because poor people use it.

Why would we take away the cars? People will still need them for lots of things. But making a country where people HAVE to drive them is terrible.

This is yet another argument against car centric city design. Cars represent shackles that allow city and state debt collectors to get their claws into the most vulnerable Americans. If we had a working public transit system and pedestrian&

Although I think it's not going to be as easy as picking one up at the corner store, I do not think supersonic flight (which occurs every day on thousands of airframes) will compare to the level of complexity of landing a human being o

To be honest, the best air travel is high speed rail. Replacing regional flights with train trips would save so much energy and reduce emissions monstrously. I'm not even worried about these supersonic flights to be honest. They are 40
