Charge site owners for the value added. Stay small but still turn a profit. No investor money so not forced to grow and sell out user base (no ads). Only add useful features to keep user experience decent.

I don't want: to serve advertisements, to force people to link to their identity, to cause friction to an already engaged user (no signups form / no captcha), to feel like a bolted on service / widget (I want to feel like par

I think its crazy how they guard the "live stock". Touch a leaf near an aphid and you will have 2-3 ants on your arm almost instantly. I've even seen ants guarding plants that don't even have any aphids on it yet. Aphid

Not yet, still a lot of "user flows" need to be solved. For instance right now, if a user leaves a comment but never verifies their email, the comment is sort of in limbo. I'm likely going to fix that tonight so at least th

Research "rammed earth" and "earth ships" for details on why old structures last longer. Rammed earth has great thermal mass which has huge benifits if controlled.

No, I just leave. In the last 4 years I have tripled my salary. At a lot of companies there is a a max promotion of like 10-15% - often times companies will only give 3-5% increases, I deal with that once and then move on. I've gotten
