What is expensive about marriage? I’m trying to think of reasons. Taxes? It can be advantageous to stay single, but I wouldn’t say this is that big. Kids? Another mouth to feed and educate is wildly expensive, but I doubt this is what we’re

I think of it as whether or not your app is a cog in the framework machine or the framework is a cog in your app machine.

Thanks! It’s cloud because I assume that a lot of people who want to use it will run into issues installing all the dependencies (yt-dlp and ffmpeg), and there’s also the bonus of being able to use this on any device (phones or work compute

I made this because I would download a lot of videos from Youtube to watch on my phone using VLC. Most of the videos I downloaded were from video game streams, and I wanted to constrain the video to just the gameplay (cropping the frame to

If the negative externalities that are killing our planet are included in the cost, those killers become less profitable. This can be done via taxes or other means.

Deis Workflow (now Hephy) is another one that didn’t last. This is an area I’m very interested in, but I worry there isn’t enough of a critical mass to support tech like this.

I switched to using your DNS to resolve this issue, but https://js.la is still busted and because I'm using your DNS, I can't manually set the A record to go to the workaround IP address.

It might be common sense that batch processing is faster and more efficient than constantly context switching, but it's important to recognize this isn't always the case. It's not software but you can see an illustration of t

Love that these types of apps are getting more popular. https://rambly.app (which is similar, but 2D) completely saved https://js.la .

Love seeing all the activity in this space. For https://js.la we've been using https://rambly.app and it's been amazing for transitioning our meetup to online.

You might like https://rambly.app - it’s voice only and spatial; so it’s optimized for natural (concurrent) conversations. The only downside is that it pretty much requires headphones.

Redis is my favorite database, and it’s interesting to me how many people are afraid of it losing data. It’s easy to use both RDB and AOF persistence methods if you want a degree of data safety comparable to what PostgreSQL can provide you.
