I literally just migrated from Photoprism to Immich 4 days ago. Hopefully migrating to 2.0 isn't hard. Very happy with Immich though, its miles ahead of Photoprism and at this point the best choice for self hosting photos.

Meh. Meta recently got rid of their instant checkout product for Instagram and Facebook where customers could buy products directly from a companies FB or IG page. Nobody was using it. I would imagine it will be the same situation here.

The way I understood NVMe drives to work on Google Cloud is that they are ephemeral and your data will be lost if the vm reboots. How do they work in this case?

I'm glad my company is in the United States. Imagine an employee calling you a dickhead to your face and not being able to fire them, ridiculous.

For someone with a supreme lack of judgement he sure does own a lot of billion dollar companies. I strive to have the same lack of judgement that he has.

I gave Avante a fair try for about a week and my opinion is that it's not really ready for big time yet. Lots of bugs, slow, and cumbersome. Now I just use Claude Code in a separate tmux pane and its great.

Nowadays Reddit is a far left echo chamber that will downvote you into oblivion for voicing an opinion as controversial as "men can't get pregnant"
