I'm a bit disappointed that Opus 4.6 wasn't in this because the tokenizer changed quite a bit from 4.7 onward. I was so annoyed by 4.7 that I've been forcing 4.6 ever since. I've been annoyed by 4.8 a bit too, so I have

tribalism, Us vs. Them, racism, patriotism/nationalism, etc all seem closely related. In terms of social life, and romantic life, it's interesting how heavily we rely on shared/common background, which tends to cause this clu

I think it would be reasonable to consider moving a company making large changes like that into some kind of probationary state, and automatically adjust the weights it has in the index as a result.

gotta have dock hiding & menu bar hiding & compact toolbar/tab settings for browser. only 80-90px of wasted height. The rest is web view. I can't think of any website I frequent having that fixed-position header either,

What's interesting about the older post is that all the sentences are long, compared to the current datacenter GPU post which contains lots of short sentences. But yeah, probably feels sucky to have your style analyzed for AI writing.

Sorry for the false positive! It's interesting that multiple people thought that line was AI generated. I think for me it was mainly the superlative "genuinely surprising" that made me wonder.

That line was the exact moment I also realized the post was AI written. I kept reading though, but I am left constantly guessing at which key details might be pure hallucinations.

what if other people want to use that table? is it okay to move their laptop/bags off? I actually find it annoying if people put stuff on tables and then walk away for an hour or more, hogging a spot that could be used by others.

I liked this article's definition of Full Self Driving (Level 4 autonomy), it is very clear - when Tesla directly takes on the legal liability for unsupervised driving.

Yeah that's what I was referring to, the last 10% takes 90% of the time. Or the difficulty of getting from five 9s to nine 9s. In this case the final 1% is 200x harder than getting to the initial 95%.

Seems like HW3 has been pretty good since FSD v12.3+ came out. If we describe HW4 as 99% of the way to true FSD, then HW3 is probably 95% of the way. Though approaching 100% (maybe 2x the human standard) is going to be exponentially harder

I'm a bit surprised the article makes no mention of Google's TurboQuant[0] introduced 26 days prior. Given that TurboQuant results in a 6x reduction in memory usage for KV caches and up to 8x boost in speed, this optimization is a
