If you can open it enough to cut the led, why not just wrap the led in tape while you've got it open? That should cut down on the light leakage through the usb ports.

Prosecutor gets to go trumpet a victory over those who would show such disresepect to the law as to try to break into the courthouse itself (or various press releases to similar effect). The "very people who have the authority to promo

I spent a bunch of allowance money on one of those. It used 110 film cartridges, and had a pretty cheap plastic lens. Quality wasn't really that good (and wasn't helped by the cheap film I had to use), but it didn't matter

Find your local makerspace, or community college with a machinist program, and ask if anyone would be interested in making you a custom handle. I turned a simple aluminum handle when I switched to a DE safety razor, because I had the same r

That's a good point about the glass cockpit's ability to emphasize any particular value/reading. I hadn't thought about that one, so thanks for bringing it up.

As a low-time (just shy of 250 total hours) private pilot, I much prefer all-analog, as I personally find it much easier to take in information in a quick scan. PP and IFR instruction was both done with "glass cockpit" aircraft,

80s BASIC (GW-Basic, to be specific) was, right up to his retirement two years ago, my fathers go-to language for anything work related. It was "good enough" for the job, cheaper and faster than trying to get their software depar

That was the key for me. I switched to smaller plates, and I quit gaining weight. It helped enforce portion control, which I am horribly bad at if left to my own devices.

Back in HS I worked at an amusement park for a summer. On a busy night, if I closed the booth, I'd be walking out the park's employee exit around 2am, through a somewhat busy and not-very-well-lit public area of the parking lot,

Great. That means that if you're after a specific piece of information, and you don't waste time clicking on "ooh shiney" stuff on your way to find that piece of information, you get flagged as a bot and treated as host

It's obviously fake, simply because anyone who was really going to do this would make their car look like an oversized carnival bumper car. Ok, maybe that's just what I'd do. Either way, good for a laugh as the afternoon star

I'm outside the VC arena, so take this with a grain of salt. It appears to me that part of the reason the Silicon-Valley-Tech-VC model involves explosive growth is because a large number of the businesses are chasing what really amount

Used to use MS OneNote, switched to using Outline (Mac) when I moved away from Windows. I'm still pretty happy with it, but I'm a one-device-at-a-time, laptops-are-as-mobile-as-I-go kind of guy who doesn't care about syncing
