I do not have twitter but based on this HN discussion here of the article it seems a lot of people are not aware of this functionality. I would say they have poorly advertised their settings and functionality which I believe is deliberate

I have used high end versions of both over the years and for some reason that I cannot explain I prefer the dell now. maybe its mental or about the oem spyware installations I am not entirely sure. I am generally satisfied with the x1carbon

I have a surface pro 3 right next to a x1carbon, often my wireless goes on on the surface and it is increasingly frustrating. That being said, I like the surface, not a fan of the keyboard but it is very portable and powerful for its size

I deleted facebook in 2008, this article discusses shadow profiles.... I suspect that more people deleting facebook and moving to facebook owned subsidiaries, or anything that is centrally owned and not federated will not solve the problem
