Doesn't matter if you're brick and mortar, you still need licenses having a basic business. In general, the laws aren't really made with small/virtual businesses in mind. You need physical locations, in-person meetings, non-electronic paper

I'm interested as well. But I'm a little confused about the next step. Your post leads me to believe we're all supposed to contact you? I get the feeling that's not what you really want (for attendees)

I'm not super-educated here (learned from a friend of mine), but here are some links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_Air_Service (about $74/passenger subsidy for small airports in rural areas. http://www.dot.gov/bib2009/htm/FAA.

Make it really easy to get to the airport. Pro: Airport parking is an expensive hassle, thus people are always taking cabs or asking for rides. Airports are far from city centers, and often inconvenient to get to. However, it's probably not

Yeah, I've poked around a bit as well, but didn't find anything that seemed like it was getting traction. I was excited when I heard that mod_lua was going to be included with Apache by default [1] ... but I haven't really heard anything si

I've been using EarthClassMail for two years now. It's worked for my needs (serves as a registered address for business as well), but it's quite expensive and the web UI sucks. I'd love to hear more about your experience with St. Brendan's.

The thing about NYC is that the high end (and much of Manhattan) is indeed incredibly expensive. And if you don't know NYC, you think that's all that's out there. But New York is huge and you can find a little bit of everything. Brooklyn al

Thanks. Knew about uxmag, but the others are new to me. If you have recommendations for Graphic or Industrial design (or anything else, really) -- I'd love them as well.

Any industry blogs you'd recommend? I've got my share of tech blogs, but would love find some new hidden gems for design (especially interaction design).

Good to hear about the refactoring and cleaning. There was definitely some cruft in there that made it hard to track down issues / learn from at times. I'm very curious about the mobile announcement. I've been doing some heavy coding on top

I've heard multiple people say something similar to what you just said: "I don't actually want a large house, but that's what I need in order to sell it." Perhaps fashion trends will change, but "Bigger is better" seems pretty ingrained int

Sadly, like the iPhone application, this doesn't work for magazines purchased through the Kindle store. Not sure why they're restricting the non-device applications to books only.

I like the idea, although honestly not that useful for me given that the exits I care about I already know. You've got a decent start on an offline subway map though -- I'd pay for a good one of those.
