I'll quote Kim Dotcom as a counter argument: >Our Governments: "We spy on all of you to keep you safe". But why have your mass surveillance systems failed to prevent the Paris attacks?

That's simply an expression to emphasise on current feelings and to add tone to the text. The rewritten text is clearly overly bland and on the edge of being apologic and doesn't reflect the anger and annoyance that Linus most lik

Why would the VM even need external network access? Let it have only LAN access to communicate key strokes and host a local mirror for pacstrap/pacman. Also limit the interface to only those two operations.

I understand that but there surely must be a way to account for that, I'd imagine something like telling the tool to "don't override this section", or "this one overrides that one, but not the other way around"

Even if they cheated during the tests, they were exactly the same cars before and after the reveal of that fact, so I don't see why people would suddenly stop liking their cars.

That's worker threads, not processes. You can enable tree view in display options, then the worker threads would have been sorta moved to the right to indicate that fact, but that's not a default option.

Not really, there's a bunch of other options that are not in the privacy section and need to be explicitly toggled off in the scheduled tasks manager (I forgot what was the name of it).

The questionable part is that they're there in the first place and enabled by default. I'd be fine with that if the telemetry and what not was opt-in as opposed to a lot of toggle switches spread across multiple settings.
