I can't speak for VancouverMan, but my experience has been similar. A few examples of the problems I have with systemd: System shutdown/reboot is now unreliable. Sometimes it will be just as quick as it was before systemd arrived,

Have you tried a DLP projector with a high-speed color wheel? When I still owned one, the sample-and-hold slide show effect was far less pronounced than it is on any LCD display I've used (assuming the same frame rate).

I strongly dislike this practice, because it impedes understanding. "a11y" is especially bad, since it runs counter to the very thing it is supposed to represent. I hope the fad passes quickly.

I wonder what workload needs more than eight dual-threaded cores, but has trouble if the additional cores have more cache or the RAM isn't factory-overclocked, and doesn't care about data integrity.

All the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors support ECC, I think. Check each model's specs to be sure. Asus motherboards for those CPUs also support it, as stated in the BIOS manuals I looked over. It requires changing the BIOS ECC se
