Sounds like a business opportunity. The customer might be willing to pay more for Wi-Fi that is not powered by Satan, and more again if it was powered by God. I'd choose Wi-Fi that is 'Powered by Science!' - the best Wi-Fi of them all.

At T-4 minutes they hold for 10 minutes and the commentary said this was planned beforehand. Does anyone know why they don't just plan to launch 10 minutes later without the 'hold'?

Yes. I am sure that most people who have tried to use a 'visual' programming environment to achieve anything non-trivial are relieved to get back to a text-based environment.

The coverage started at 7:30am. This is the first time I have watched one of these and I must admit I am pretty excited.

This article is nonsense. The author is belittling pretty much everything that has been achieved in computer science over the past decades without provide any examples or theories as to what could be done better.

It will be amazing when it has happened, yes. (Not being snarky - I think it will happen as planned.)

I find the standard Mail app painfully slow over 3G for checking for mail. So far, the gmail app seems much, much faster. The UI will take some getting used to though.

I think this is a really clever way to get people interested in your upcoming courses. I enjoyed the short test, did much better than I thought I would, and look forward to seeing what you release when your 'Design for programmers' course

It wasn't obvious enough for a half-asleep half-wit (me). But as I said, a very minor complaint. It is a great app you have made.

Yeah, it is inevitable that we will do a little spectating. I got my insight into the pointlessness of watching spectator sports from watching Seinfeld, watching TV, another spectator activity. I still enjoy comedies and movies and they d

I used to spend a lot of my weekends watching my AFL team, Collingwood, losing. Then I saw the episode of Seinfeld where he did his bit about sports fans: "We're a little too into sports in this country, I think we gotta throttle back. Kno

I'm a programmer and this site looks like it was designed by a programmer. If you are serious about this idea, spend some money and pay a designer to make it prettier. I think this is the kind of site that needs an appealing design. In pa

Quite a beautiful design but I would question the durability of the wood-veneer model. That finish is generally more suited to interior use and would start to look pretty tatty in a couple of years I expect. That said, I want them for my c

Good article, but Rolling Stone has the most annoying 'print friendly' layouts I have ever seen. Peppering the article with links to other (mostly unrelated) pages really takes you out of the story.

I agree. Anytime I use a CSS hack it makes me feel dirty. An IE specific stylesheet is an unfortunate necessity, but there seems to be a cottage industry of people using browser-specific hacks for everything. It feels like it goes against

Facebook has something like 500 million users, but that doesn't mean that everyone has an account. I don't and never will. Give people another option, including 'yet another account' for your site. The majority of users will not trust yo
