Funny enough I recently wrote my own hack using this linker feature in C, to implement an array of static counter definitions that can be declared anywhere and then written out (e.g., to prometheus) in one place. Note that as I later found

It's a solution to the problem: given a list of n-1 unique integers 1 through n, find the missing integer. The trick is that when you xor all of the numbers in the list together and then xor that with the xor of 1 through n, the result

The article is about life insurance, not health insurance (I should have made it clear I was talking about health insurance).

I think they're saying it's top heavy. There are some people (rich whales) that buy lots of games and don't play them, while most people on steam are playing the (numerically fewer) games that they buy.

I realize this is a fraught question, because not everyone is overweight by choice (whether due to a subsisting on whatever they can afford, time, genetics, injury, etc,.) but I believe that insurers are able to consider whether someone smo

I'd argue in some ways it's a triangle, with RAW vs RAI being the third point. Someone can minmax either under RAW/taken to the extreme, or under RAI or they can do silly things under RAI or RAW/home brewed.

I wonder if you could make a frankenstein version of differential datalog by combing the OP repo with salsa[1] (the crate that powers rust-analyzer) [1] https://github.com/salsa-rs/salsa

I'm not sure, but it clearly wasn't sufficient if it does. I guess the issue here is if you're crash looping, once the task comes up it will generate load retrying to get the config, so even if you're no longer crash loo

Generally, even these emergency changes are done not entirely immediately to prevent a fix from making things worse. This is an operational choice though, not a technical limitation. My guess being involved in similar issues in the past is

My reading is that this is on start up. E.g., some config needs to be read when tasks come up. It's easy to have backoff in your normal API path, but miss it in all the other places your code talks to services.

Similar in concept, I think the idea is that it would be used as an application coprocessor though, as opposed to the main processor, and obviously a lot more threads. I don't remember all the details, but picture a bunch of those atta
