I have a bunch of little open source, public service sorts of things too Don't know what I'm going to do with them. They're useless if they're not up 24/7, but I can't justify wasting $84 a year on them either.

Yep, $7 is way too much I've quit buying domains for a lot of my "hobby" apps cuz $12 a year is wasteful

ack Heroku is my goto for sites because I can throw my fun little test hobbyist sites on there too. I might actually have to invest the time to figure out how to host Node/IO on someone else if their free tier goes away

I believe the issue is you say "Recommended Content" rather than "Ads by Disqus" which, obviously, infers that the site is recommending something they are not. Saying "Ads by Disqus" will probably annihilate your clickthrough, but you have

creepy I'll certainly never use a paypal account to log in to some arbitrary website, and I'll never offer it as an option for my own users. ESPECIALLY after reading all the data they're bragging about sharing.
