I think I was more referring to the switches with sfp and the transceivers themselves. I have never tried to get something "low end".

Cooling doesn't really take more energy than warming, because cooling is warming if you have a heat pump. Are you not just observing here the usage of fossil fuels for heating, which is extremely common?

unfortunately this trolling has caused trump to try to halt all large offshore wind projects in the United States in federal land grants. it's terrible.

there's 3000 waymos running around.soon there will be 10000. This prediction may really only be five years off. Do you find it unrealistic for there to be 100000 waymo vehicles by 2032?

I looked to see if any of these tools support the hdr gain map export that Lightroom supports, and of course, absolutely none of them do. I can't use these.

uncritically believing this design will succeed, despite having all the signs of Elon interfering and massively shifting requirements, isn't "hard" either

Just because you defeat popular consensus of what is possible in one place doesn't mean you can continue to do it again and again. This stuff is hard.

coming back in one piece, and being good enough to use for 5 more missions are two very different things. For example, all existing reentry vehicles come back "fine" but they need to be completely remade to go up again.

"surviving reentry" and being reusable are two very different things, particularly if this is to become human rated.

You know a whole the size of a quarter can wreck the entire spacecraft and make it effectively throw away? Also, you'd want to use this many times. Making a system robust while not requiring months of refurbishment is really really har

The hardest problem in the entire design had yet to be solved. Having a robust human rated tile system that can be rapidly turned around is a huge engineering challenge that kind of breaks the whole point of the design if it doesn't wo

All major silicon companies use something quite different. Not FPGAs, but significantly faster than software (500khz cycle times instead of 200mhz). https://www.cadence.com/en_US/home/tools/system-design-and-v

This thing is far from over. Iran will indefinitely be able to block the straight. The us will be stuck in this defensive position for months, until it pulls out and effectively loses the war. It's clear we are going to lose, because w
