As a native Korean speaker, learning Russian was probably the most difficult experience. I still can't figure out the proper accents. I also don't know enough about linguistics to understand why it's so difficult. In contrast

Interesting article - most of these metrics should be learned on the job for a lot of product managers.

To be fair, a lot of tech companies these days offer unlimited PTO. Then again, taking more than 6~7 weeks is still somewhat taboo.

I think Robinhood's purpose is exactly to promote "emotional, irrational day trading." Isn't that part of what impacts the market anyway? There are tons of bad traders in any given platform, and you're right that Ro

Wish there were actual examples of each one instead of just an explanation. UI is cool but UX is poor.

This is crazy. I used to work on the engineering-side of this on phones (CMAS). The amount of requirements from the government and the carriers for the UI/UX were ridiculous (how the messages are precisely displayed to the users, requi

Don't programming bootcamp classes do this kind of thing too? I feel like this just increases the probability for a student to do well on the interview. If you read their intro slide, it clearly states "Level the playing field bet

I'll add on that this is an absurd lawsuit, in a music theory perspective. However, my legal knowledge is shabby. Are there any precedents regarding cases like these? If, for some peculiar reason, Radiohead wins this case, then I can i

These arguments are made for cell phones all the time too. The consensus is that it's impossible to please everyone. At least for phones, and this might be similar to laptops, we made decisions on everything based on intensive research

I've known people who worked at Snapchat and told me it was a haven for Visa sponsorship. This isn't a negative but it's possible that turnover will be extremely high once these employees get their visas/greencards.
