I'd even say it's working much better than in the golden days as pretty much everyone is using an off-the-shelf blog engine which does RSS just fine, whereas in the old times a good half of the blogs were something homegrown/

Suppose a closed-source program you use has a critical vulnerability in rustls and the company that wrote it is out of business. How much effort do you need to hot-patch the binary in a safe manner? I routinely use 15-years old software whi

Actually openssl is pretty compatible between versions, usually not an issue in the real world.

When the real need for a stop is not obvious too many drivers will do a rolling stop anyway.

It's convoluted because it's expressed in an incomprehensible way. Make it a Petri net or something, first decide what is the class of the message & pref of that class and it's 3x simpler.

It's like never true, it does not show that you can't get email notification faster than in 30 minutes. Also now should include adding random old stuff to notification.

Generally one would prefer safety features to be fail-safe, not fail-deadly, i.e. traffic lights that give you green when there is no cross-traffic is OK, but warning only if something is detected is used only in limited circumstances.

There are even open protocols used in the wild. SunnyHome has it working for example for using your local solar electricity.

Keep ldap as backend and use Keycloak for saml, oidc, user-facing console etc. Openldap is not going anywhere and keeping multiple hashes is not a commn feature. If it's enough you can plug in any hash algorithm into keycloak.
