The processed meat alternatives don't really taste close enough. On the contrary, many prefer actual grilled mushrooms or vegetables in their burgers. Personally, I think fried crickets taste much better than Impossible Burger and the

Meanwhile, people are clinging to decade-old Thinkpads like they were made of gold. Most laptops and pretty much all desktops are x86-64, as are both major home consoles. Sure, ARM is dominant on mobile, and it's definitely going to gr

I haven't been in Sweden for a while, but in Finland there's large headlines about a major shortage of tech workers, but based on what I've seen it's basically tech workers changing careers because they are: 1) fed up wi

Just to add to that: NH is on it's way out of the system now, after 15 years, and it should have another 15-20 years left in it's RTG. Meanwhile, there are actual interstellar probes being planned, in addition to several missions

Right, so if another species does what we do, then we'd be lucky if we were inside the 200 ly radius of them at a time where they sent enough signals for us to notice?

I've struggled, and am struggling, with the same thing. The only thing that helps me is to keep doing... something. Also, talk to your wife about changing lifestyles if you haven't already. She might surprise you.

Had no idea about cancerous effects, but the taste is amazing. As someone who eats meats regularily, my favourite vegan burger is with a grilled portabello in it - it beats all the over-processed stuff they sell nowadays.

Droughts are horrifying. Animals will simply do what they need to in order to stay alive. The scary part is that droughts are getting more common.

You have a valid point; killing an animal in order to eat it is not immoral, assuming you don't let anything go to waste. Factory farming, on the other hand, has nothing to do with how nature works. It's all about who raises the a
