Can someone provide color as to why this was such a discretionary process? If I get a call from my broker, and I don’t post collateral, I’m liquidated immediately. I’d at least expect a fixed date which triggers liquidation if you catch som

Discounted cashflows to infinity and beyond plus a massive user base. Add zirp to the mix and I'm surprised they're not worth $65B. I'm sure they'll be profitable in a decade... Also don't forget this is an IPO: ide

Somewhat related: has anyone else noticed a massive change in breadth of results? I was searching for reviews for diving equipment and some less niche items and I feel like I'm being spoonfed results from the same comparison engines. S

Something I struggle to understand is why this is considered a recent phenomenon. All of the tools required to run disinformation campaigns have existed for at least the last two decades and social media was easily mature enough by the late

You shouldn't look at the debt alone. It's not inflation adjusted, and it doesn't account for the economy being far larger today than it was in the 1920s. Debt to GDP is a better measure. We basically matched WWII on that met

Can you estimate a percentage? Even if say 50% of deaths were due to lockdowns, do you really think that free movement would have not contributed to an equal or greater increase? As a further counterpoint, I'll use Norway and Sweden as

This makes me incredibly happy. In the early days of college hackathons (2011-2013), they were very much TechCrunch disrupt style. You were there to build something and win. Staff was incredibly unhelpful. It was the farthest thing from a l

So how are people supposed to consume this? With an SMTP client? I think the bigger issue is that consumption isn't particularly friendly. Also, you still haven't solved the versioning issues.

I think the bigger issue is that use of Copilot puts the end user at risk of using copyrighted code without knowing it. Sure one could argue that Copilot learned in the way a human does. There is nothing that prevents one from learning from

The most important reason: PAPER PROFITS ARE NOT REAL PROFITS. More technical reasons follow. The risk profile is very different. Rents, dividends, and interest payments all have some notion of a guaranteed payment. Your risk is primarily w

Maybe you're a person who works to live? If so, embrace it. Those who enjoy their work are often the opposite: they live to work. You could try tech or any number of other jobs (EMT always sounded fun to me.) But your goal should be to
