It's unlikely that English speakers will use diacritics except as a point of trivia. Cafe, naive and even resume have lost their diacritics in practice (ime).

I think it will never be removed. All code using threads in python are using the GIL to hide their blushes and as soon you remove the GIL I don't think there's any reason to believe threaded code in python will continue to work as

One of Java's original goals was to work in embedded systems. As such, I think type erasure actually is helpful to reduce the size of compiled artefacts because you haven't monomorphised functions - hence avoiding potential bloat.

To go with sibling's comment, Wadler also had a hand in designing Java's generics while Guy Steele was a co-author of the Java Language Specification. And the idea that Eric Meijer ignored PL research is just mistaken. Instead of

No the point of interdependence is when its mutual. If it's about domination then sure you have one country invading another. When there is mutual interdependence then it's a massive disincentive for war. Such a weird exchange. Yo

Really interesting from an ecological standpoint, but from a resource concern isn't the purpose of relying on each other (e.g. Russian gas), to link the economies so we have strong incentives to avoid wars?

This is an issue for accountancy. Many numerical fields have data coming from noisy instruments so being lossy doesn't matter. In the same vein as why GPUs offer f16 typed values.

While I get you point, I think it's of limited usefulness for Python. You would end up with Snekr.io using 3.11 and cheeseshoppr.ws using Python 3.8.4 and etc. You can get some packages for any Python3 but they are the smaller ones. Th
