Doing it in Mojo this year. Much easier so far than it was in 2023 when just basic string wrangling was basically nonexistent.

I was actually reading his blog again last night (after chatting with a friend about QQ), and he has a follow up post, titled: "Quantum Investment Bros: Have you no shame?" Relevant quote: > It’s like this: if you think quantum

Yeah, I was taking the author's numbers there, and there is a lot of nuance to the logical vs physical qubits relationship. Not super up to date on the latest work there, you got any links?

*ends as soon as practical quantum computers, something which might never happen, exist. The author mentions: > RSA-2048: ~4096 logical qubits, 20-30 million physical qubits > 256-bit ECC: ~2330 logical qubits, 12-15 million physical

Yeah, I understand it's probably part of their fraud protection, but feels weird that they get my GPU info when doing a payment. Seems very unrelated. Anyone who works on fraud protection who can explain how this info is used?

Can confirm. I was running through a forest in Berlin and saw a raccoon in a tree. Was a little confused, but apparently quite a few around here.

Maybe. Could go up still, but a surprisingly conservative move for SoftBank. But hey, maybe the market crashes tomorrow and this is seen as the best piece of timing ever seen, maybe it doubles in the next year. In any case, you never lose b

Yeah, I think diminishing returns kick in at some point. Going from 1080p to 1440p feels like a huge improvement. Going from 1440p to 4k (aka 2160p) is a little bit sharper. I don't think the jump from 4k to 8k will improve thing

Tried again and this time it got me. Second place is still Swedish. Looking at the UMAP visualisation, there is a South African cluster overlapping with a Swedish cluster, so makes sense I guess.

Try yourself here: https://start.boldvoice.com/accent-oracle It wrongly pegged me as Swedish. It's second choice was the place I live, and third place was where I'm from, so not too bad overall. I have been told I

They want to open-source the language, and call me naive, but I do believe that they will. The licence is a bit weird to me though. I do get it for their main product, Max, but it is a bit of a weird one for a language.

Yeah, I went to JuliaCon last year, and it was clear that Julia really seems to have found it's niche in the scientific computing world. I like the language, but as I do ML, Python is really the only game in town, and Mojo is looking p

I would say it depends on how stable you need the code to be. If it's something you need to put in production soon, C++/pybind might be the way to go, but if it's just a side-project, Mojo could work.
