Finally, something I actually want in my cellphone: decent navigation! I could care less about music and web browsing. I want my phone to tell me how to meet up with my friends and lets me find Mexican restaurants at 3am.

The most fun way to do this would be more as a "social" site, assigning "karma" for good conversational points. And, if profit is desired (when isn't it?), competitions with small entry fees could also be set up on the site.

It would probably be worth more as a web application that allowed you to pretty much run your own reddit or news.ycombinator than as a "hacker news" site. A larger corporation might buy it for the actual software, not the audience.
