Howard Stern. I wish Rogan had his level of intelligence and insight into the human mind. Howard is also much funnier and knows how to keep a show from turning into a sleeping aid. No matter how hard you practice, you can’t fake funny.

I think your perspective is really sharp and hits the important points. I think you might be right but I also think we are witnessing a sort of merger between an internet history and physical history. It’s playing out in a lot of ways but m

No matter what happens, it sure is thrilling to witness this debate. You might be right, you might be wrong. Personally I think a line can now be drawn that starts at the first cave drawing and ends in 2022. Something has fundamentally shif

It makes me wonder if all these musician’s catalogs that have been purchased as a whole lately are even more powerful than before. Owning a piece of every bit of media that contains a slice of David Bowie for example would be extremely valu

Honestly, I’m worried that shocking pornographic depictions of every women who’s ever posted her face online is coming. AI’s first big splash in our society is going to be a traumatic sexual assault of all women.

Yeah, I’d be tempted to write in a character at the start of each book that just so happens to remove DRM from an audio book.

That explains my muscle development after having kids. Basically just doing squats and lifts throughout the day. Lots of tag based cardio to round it out and those multiple peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day probably helps as well

Music equipment is among the most sentimental of all human possessions. In fact virtually all the musicians I’ve ever met believe in “MOJO”.

Happy to read this, I’ve been considering this exact arrangement lately. A bunch of things I’ve read say you need 15,000 if you want to get that carmilization on your stir fry’s. I’m also very inspired by this video [1] which shows what app

I think you might be underestimating how much work goes into the last mile of a design. A lot of refinement work goes into typography in particular, a domain Dall-E isn’t yet proficient in at all.

Spot on. The connection between these types of videos seems to be an inability to appreciate that a filmed encounter is ultimately inauthentic. I wonder if young people who have always had smart phones and perhaps have always been filmed by

Personally, in 2010 I definitely walked across 8 lanes of traffic the wrong way on my first day in town… Must have been an actual highway. I have a vivid memory of cars revving their engine at me. In Canada the crossing signs with a countdo

Spotify was promoting a podcast to me for a while called “c*m town” (add a u). It was so gross, the album cover was written in white liquid. I could not make it go away! One of the worst UI experiences ever, actually made my stomach turn.

I’m sure I’ve read a few dozen of the same old AA debates on HN, but, yeah it worked for my old man. AA, in particular the serenity prayer, has at least some overlap with the more tech friendly pursuit of Stoic philosophy. “God, grant me th
